This chair takes its name from the homonymous archaeological site. It is formally inspired by the geometrical features of the several local complexes of ruins, temples and civil architecture. Its step-like structure refers to the evocative stairway of the main site building, which was adorned with several glyphs telling stories about the Mayan history and sovereigns.
